I have changed my own behavior as much as I can, but I have reached the conclusion that we as a species will not even try to solve climate change. As with COVID, all you need to do is watch the trajectory of human behavior and plot out the logical conclusion. No one is even talking about consuming less. People are talking themselves into believing that we can make things "sustainable." All we need to do is build more electric cars, and our problems are solved. Or maybe we need nuclear fusion or geo-engineering. We are too invested in the myths we tell ourselves to confront the real problem, and that is why I will "complain" if that's a fair term for an accurate depiction of hypocrisy and willful ignorance. We need to name the right problem before we can solve anything.

I want to build a better human. One that can survive the troubles of our own making. One less insufferable than the narcissistic monster of today.
